spring is coming...colours welcome!

Spring is coming and she is bringing colours with her.

I started with 3 blank canvases.

I added some paint, modeling paste,...
and this is what it came out.

Then I added  some more paint, a few black lines, used some stamps and glued a few butterflies and flowers.

Here are some details.

Beside the visit to Artish, I got all creative in the afternoon. As I was saying in my previous post, I saw a few tutorials/ video projects of Christy Tomlinson and her mixed media art and I decided that I would like to try this tecnique. This is what came underneath my hands. I used just about everything I got my hands on. I like it and I'm satisfied with my first mix media project. :-)

Heavy meets white

This card was meant to be something else, but it turn out the way it is by chance.
It's for someone special...
Imagine if.....
Love you M!

The inspiration was a September 2012 Tag by Tim Holtz where he used metal foil.
And recently I discover Christy Tomlinson and her mixed media creations.
I just love the way she uses paints and fingers as brushes for the paint.
Foil, a few metal ideology embelishments, flowers and white gesso and voila....

Love is in the air....

It's that time in the year again when love has its own day....
LOVE.
LJUBEZEN in Slovene.
I just love this word in Slovene,
because just saying the word you know what it means. :-)

 Inspiration .....red, love, hearts.
I started with distressing the tag with fired brick and aged mahogany.
Then I put letters L O V E on the tag and used napkin technique to glue and gloss all together so the letters and the tag become one.
Than I  distress the tag again.
I put some drops of water, mixed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls Bronze, on the tag.
Let it dry.
Then I addes some embellishments (Tim Holtz's).
I made a ribbon out of tissue tape.
At the end I distress the edges of the tag and ink the edges.
And voila...
