Little xmas houses

I got inspired in a Maya Road DT blog that I saw a few days ago.
This little xmas houses are a sanctuary for love, wishes, miracles, .....
They are so easy to do. All it takes is a little imagination and empty tea carton turns into this lovely xmas house. :-) Beside the houses I made a tree (inspired my the one Jana made - she is very good and inspirational).

Snow...wahey can't wait!

This one is alla bout snow, winter, wishes, believing,.... that time of the year is coming.
I used TH distress inks, Glimmer mist, TH cracle paint on tags, wings, a TH lock and a key for unlocking xmas magic, TH music notes to xmas carols, snowflakes for a winter spirit and a bit of december sparkle.

The one with snowflakes I'm enetring into a CRAFT-alnica challenge, where they want to see snowflakes. Although they are almost on all of them. :-)
In Simon say challenge they want to see sparkle. The letters are sparkling although the photo does not show it clear enough.
In Cards for men challenge they want Xmas card for men. This one is manly enough. :-)

Xmas time...it's geting closer

Yes it's that time of the year...when you have to get your xmas cards prepaired. And inspiration...of course Mr. T.H.
But I guess I will have to get one more order from UK of this stuff, to get my xmas card collection together.
A few of the cards I've already made...but again, I need more material (not that I run out of I just need some new stuff). :-)

TH inspiration

Here are the photos I promised. Invitations for the retirement party of a nurse (my mom :-). She asked me if I could do 35 invitations to her party. She said "nothing fancy", but when I showed her some of my ideas, she loved it. So here are some of these invites.
It's hard for me to do 35 of the same things, so each is different, but they all have the same theme "vintage, Tim Holtz, nurse style". :-)

Vintage

Yesterday I got my order which has a lot of Tim Holtz's stuff. TH and Vintage stlye got me hooked. I love film strip ribbon and masks and other TH stuff. I had already got started with it...I have to do 35 invitations for a retirement party...and of course they are going to have a "vintage look". No picks yet. Let just say I have a lot of distressing and gluing to do. :-)

In the meantime, here is a photo od scrapbook made for a fanatic cyclist... :-)

Fall is coming...

This one is dedicated to the season's changing. Fall is coming and it can be beautiful with all the warm colours: browns, reds, yellow, orange, greens...
Althouht it seems like a very simple card, I spend a lot of time creating the paper behind Tilda. First I used napkin technic. After it had dried I crumble the paper and applied distress ink. After that I used clear distress crackle paint. It doesn't show in the photo, but the paper looks leatherish.

Challenges:
- CPS sketch
- Stamptacular (Season's change)
- Our creative corner (colours: marina mist, early espresso, soft suede, crumb cake)
- All sorts (plain and simple)
- Stamp something challenge (Something with fall colours)
- Paper play challenge (Coffee and Cream).

Pinkish and greenish

Pink and green, not the ordinary colour combo, but when I saw the Basic Gray Olivia paper pad I thought..."this might work"!

Tilda is coloured with distressed inks and is siting on a stone wall (stamped and cut out). The scenery behind the Tilda is another stamped image. Papers are from BG Olivia collection and are distressed with inks. Rose and embelishments are made by myself. To make it more girly I added some bling - pearls.

This card was made for a girl, for here second b'day.

I love scrapbooking

Here are two more.

First is for Matic, my baby boy.

This is a little detail. I used plain cardboard wings. On which I used paper napkin technic, then I apply crackle paint (Tim Holtz) and after it has dried I emphasize the cracks with distress ink.

Again, photos are not as good as it should be. I just can't get the right light. :-)

This is about our new life that is growing.

I loooove this little roses. Again I used a lot of distressing to achive this "vintage" look. :-)

First Scrapbooking

My both orders had arrived, from UK and US. So I had no excuse, but to start scrapbooking.


My theme for this "the real one" was trucks.

My son is crazy about them. So here's playing with this trucks in the sandbox and enjoying the sun.

The photo is a bit poor, but I'm learning, so bear with me. :-)

Adventure on a farm

It's time for boys!



I created this card for my cousin's b'day. He's into farming and stuff so I think this one will be just for him. His family has a farm with cows, pigs and of course a few horses. I just hope it's not too girly. :-)

Butterfly Tilda

Here is butterfly Tilda in a birthday card for a 2-year-old girl named Enya. It fits in a couple of challenges:

• CRAFT-alnica - butterflys (it's obvious)
  
• Papertake weekly - white and bright (I chose white and red)
  
• Simon Says - Sing it baby! (my song for this challenge is Butterfly by Mariah Carey)
  
• The ABC Challenge - A is for August (we are in August and Enya has b'day in August)
  
• Creative Inspirations - 5 flowers, 3 papers, 1 ribbon (done)
  
• Truly Scrumptious - a sketch (done).

Although red is not my colour I'm pleased with the result. I hope Enya will love it too.

In the meantime I'm waiting for my shippment of scrapbook supplies...and it has already been sent to me so any day now....and I'll start scrapbooking big time. I just hope I'll like it and I'll be good at it.
