I feel sLOVEnia!

I feel basketball!

 I feel sLOVEnia!

There is a European basketball championship, EuroBasket 2013, happening right now here in Slovenia. Basketball is all over, everywhere and we love it. We are mad for basketball. 

Our team just qualified for the next world basketball championship, next year's FIBA World Cup in Spain. Slovenian team made it to quaterfinals, thought.

 A big wahey for Slovenia team: Dragič brothers, Nachbar, Lakovič, Joksimovič, Balažič, Murič, Blažič, Lorbek, Vidmar, Begič, Slokar.

Anyway, here is my take on Eurobasket 2013. Blue, green, stars, heart....Slovenia! :-)

Eurobasket 2013

First time in school...new start, new beginning

He will be starting his 1. grade in a couple od days. 

Hope everything goes well and that he will enjoy school.

Summer (part one)

Holidays were awsome. Sea, sun, fun!

Here is my version of holidays! 14 days in flip-flops

But now back to reality...

Wedding bells

S and K will get merried this Saturday and this one is for them. 

Clean, simple, white-ish. :-)

 I made the heart and the wings out of grungeboard. Then I painted  a  layer of rock candy distress crackle paint mixed with white gesso over pieces because I wanted wings and the heart to be white. After the pieces dried I edged them with vintage photo distress ink and rubbed some Rangers Perfect pearls all over them to smoothe the effect. Then I added some embelishments and voila...

Tim Holtz also used  rock candy distress crackle paint over his pieces for his project 

(July's TH 12 Tags of 2013) 

so I'm entering the card into his "challenge".
In CRAFT-alnica they want to see ribbons and bows.I used a piece of a ribbon.
At SSS monday challenge they want to celebrate. This is a some sort of celebration card.

Some kind of gifts

This set of tags are made for my kids' kindergarden teachers.

First of all I made earrings and then I incorporated them into the tags.

The tags have the word "THANKS" in Slovene on them. Thanks for taking good care of my kids.

I'll get some chocolate as well.....to go with the earrings and tags. :-)

For the tags part I used heat embossing, some distress inks and stains to colour the tags and embelishments.

Embelishments I used are one of my favourite: blossoms, feathers, letters, pearls, ribbons,...

They are so versatile

For the earrings I used my stash of beads. Easy peasy!
